The P&L Acoustic Capsule

After more than six months of thorough research, extensive prototyping and laboratory testing, we are thrilled to announce that the first generation of our Acoustic Capsule is finally ready.

  The P&L Acoustic Capsule was developed in resonance with our philosophy -- masterpieces are defined by concepts, not conventions. Hence, We have unprecedently integrated the rear volume into the gilded acoustic driver itself, which, in addition to our titanium diaphragm, constitutes our Acoustic Capsule. By building everything into a modular capsule, we have unlocked the potential of an upgradable and repairable acoustic unit. Furthermore, our innovation has allowed us to improve our assembly precision and maximise the sound-radiating surface of the diaphragm. Besides, this new design has enabled more precision during our hand assembly, which results in better sound consistency.

In terms of the diaphragm, we have considered many other different materials, such as Magnesium and Berylium, in the development process. As one of the most critical components of sound quality, an ideal diaphragm should be light and stiff so that it guarantees minimum high-frequency breakup and remains pistonic, resulting in lower distortions. Therefore, after a thorough consideration of both safety and performance, we concluded that Titanium is the best option at the moment.
